Dr. Joey MitchellSigma Chi Iota Academic Honors Society, Inc. is the first professional driven career services oriented academic honors society. Our mission is to increase career awareness, through Service to students, Career exploration, and to do it with Initiative. Our organization serves to promote job development, career counseling, and employer relations on the campuses of all colleges and universities. These initiatives promote student participation within career centers and close the gap between academia and gainful employment.

Each member of Sigma Chi Iota will receive a lifetime membership with recognition of their career services initiatives demonstrated during their collegiate achievements. The survival of the organization is based on the intake of members. The honor society benefits by career networking opportunities, new resources, and reliable feedback from an ever-evolving job market.

New membership is limited to students currently enrolled in an accredited institution, who have completed at least 30 semester hours and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.33 or above on a 4.0 scale. Associated level membership is restricted to faculty, staff, and student workers, and/or ambassadors, who do not qualify under the new membership rule.
